COVID-19 UPDATE
Proactive Approach
Sheboygan, Wis. – March 27, 2020 – The uncertainty over the spread of COVID-19 is of great concern to all of us. At Vollrath Manufacturing Services (VMS) the health and safety of our employees, customers, freight carriers, and community is our top priority. That means we must prepare for small- and large-scale responses to this rapidly developing situation.
Proactive preventative measures are necessary to contain this coronavirus outbreak, and we are applying an abundance of caution to protect everyone’s health and well-being. The Vollrath Company is closely following the recommendations of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), the World Health Organization (WHO), as well as local and state authorities. The Vollrath Company has been designated as an essential business under the Safer at Home Order issued in Wisconsin and will continue to manufacture customer orders.
For Our Customers
While many of our team members are working from home, they continue to have the ability to answer emails and phone calls regarding order status. We are asking customers to do the following:
- Advise Vollrath of any business closing via your customer service representative or your regional sales representative. If possible, please provide estimated dates of closure.
- Review all open orders and contact your customer service representative or your regional sales representative to move existing order request dates out based on your business needs and/or business closure.
- Contact your customer service representative or your regional sales representative to review current work in process and finished goods inventory. Please work with our team on shipment dates to ensure product is not rejected or returned at your facilities. Product orders that are returned will be charged for any freight costs and may incur a restocking and storage fee. Standard products are exempted from the storage fees but could be subject to restocking and freight charges if shipments are returned.
